Skating Waivers
Please bring proof of your signed waiver (either printed or on your phone) to the event, or email it to hellohoghill@gmail.com beforehand.
Safety First,
Not Head First!
Safety always comes first at Hog Hill, so if you wanna skate, you gotta pad up! We have a dedicated team to ensure the event runs smoothly with minimal injury, but it's up to you to take care.
Safety:
Helmets & Pads
All Skaters must wear a helmet* when riding their board on the track and around the venue. If you are holding your board, or just walking around, you do not need to wear a helmet.
Downhill Skaters must wear a helmet* and gloves, but we'd recommend wrist guards, knee & elbow pads.
Downhill racers must wear a full face helmet and gloves, and we strongly recommend wrist guards, knee & elbow pads. You'll see most riders wearing leathers to protect themselves from injury.
Spectators do not need to wear safety gear, but must be mindful of skaters, cyclists, pedestrians & drivers at the track.
* The minimum requirement is a half-shell helmet.
Medical:
St John's Ambulance
St John's Ambulance are on hand & stationed at the bottom of the hill (a prime location for racers to come off their board) ready to bandage wounds & see to injury's.
